Abstract
The article presents the results of applying the author's methodology for assessing national competitiveness, based on an analysis of the effectiveness of macroeconomic systems in the operation of nine main growth factors in relation to 91 states in the period from 2003 to 2021. The results obtained demonstrate certain discrepancies with the data of international ratings of national competitiveness; however, they reflect the author’s concept of its assessment, which implies the effectiveness of the marketization of natural, human, and financial capital by macroeconomic systems and not the infrastructural and institutional quality of the latter.
