The anticipated LD50 value was calculated using probit values and fatality percentages. For gamma rays and sodium azide, the LD50 value of PBNS-86 was set at 296.2 Gy and 0.1513%, respectively. The greatest reduction in the proportion of plants that survived was induced by gamma rays and sodium azide treatments. Safflower has been grown for millennia all over the world, making it one of the most important and ancient oil-producing crops.
