Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and case studies, this paper identifies key challenges and opportunities in implementing carbon capture technologies in onshore gas exploration. Furthermore, it examines the economic, technical, and regulatory aspects of incorporating carbon capture into onshore gas exploration operations. The paper also discusses potential synergies between carbon capture and other sustainable practices, such as methane reduction and ecosystem restoration.
