Abstract

In this study the flow around the bodies of a detachable head unit (DHU) with an emergency rescue system (ERS) and launch vehicle (LV) in the process of their separation in windy conditions is numerically simulated with the determination of forces, moments, and pressure distribution in a quasi-stationary formulation—the change in the distance between bodies is set discretely.
