This event likely caused that many first clutches failed completely, and that, compared with previous and subsequent years, fledging and breeding success was relatively low in those which were successful. There was also an increased proportion of replacement clutches that year. Anyway, the overall production of fledglings per breeding pair over the breeding season was 2.39, lower than other years.
