For applications to AdS/CFT, we conjectured a nonlocal Gibbons–Hawking–York boundary term along with the necessary counter terms to cancel the ultraviolet divergence of the bulk action. Abstract

Black holes exert quantum pressure coming from the nonlocal gravity correction.
