Abstract
Is face‐to‐face better than a virtual consultation? How do people feel about artificial intelligence helping with diabetic eye screening? And, are there ethnic variations in infection risk in type 2 diabetes?These were just a small sample of questions that research presented at the 51st Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society for Academic Primary Care, held over two days in Brighton in July 2023, tried to address. Practical Diabetes concerns itself with all aspects of the worldwide clinical science and practice of diabetes medicine. The journal is published nine times a year, and currently the average waiting time for acceptance of articles is eight weeks, and for subsequent publication sixteen weeks. Practical Diabetes is independent of any commercial or vested interest.
