This research aims to describe the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities in science subjects through Inquiry Based Learning in class IV at SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta. The method used is the Classroom Action Research method which consists of two cycles, with a sample of class IVA students at SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta. The instruments used are written test questions, observation and interview sheets, and documentation. The data collection techniques used are observation and questionnaires, as well as data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical techniques. The indicators used include formulating questions, answering questions, reporting observation results, making conclusions, and thinking about alternative answers. Based on the cycles that have been carried out, the results show that the level of students' critical thinking abilities has increased in each cycle. Abstract
The level of critical thinking ability in class IV students at SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta is still low, as evidenced by the results obtained during observations and interviews.
