Abstract

The first total synthesis of the recently isolated strecintide 839 is reported. Strecintide 839 is one of the RiPP natural products that have been vigorously isolated in recent years and is known to possess the extremely rare and highly strained atrop-Trp-Trp linkage. This study details the comprehensive investigation into the construction of the highly strained atrop-Trp-Trp linkage and its application in the total synthesis of strecintide 839.
