The primary objective was to delve deeply into the correlations between varying dimensions of social support and the employment anxiety felt by these students. and a mediating effect model was established to explore the mechanism of psychological capital. The study found that college students’ social support positively predicted psychological capital (β = 0.56), negatively predicted employment anxiety (β = -0.26), and negatively predicted employment anxiety (β = -0.33). Psychological capital played a partial mediating role in social support and employment anxiety. It shows that the current employment environment has a great impact on the anxiety of college students, and the social support from family and peers and their psychological capital can help college students relieve the anxiety of employment.
