Abstract

During the pandemic of COVID-19, the rates of bloodstream infection associated with venous catheter in patients infected with the disease admitted to an intensive care unit rose significantly. In this study, we evaluated the occurrence of bloodstream infections in patients with SARS-CoV-2 and the variables that made the patients more susceptible to the catheter-associated bloodstream infection (CABSI).
