TAVR IE is a rare yet fatal complication, with surgical treatment carrying a high mortality rate, particularly in patients with systolic heart dysfunction. Abstract
A 60-year-old man with diabetes mellitus and aortic stenosis who had undergone transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) presented with persistent TAVR-associated infective endocarditis (TAVR IE) despite a prolonged antibiotic course.
