Abstract
The current article is a forward-looking synopsis to provide insights into the current state of the industry and some areas where future work may hold additional promise. The integration of genomics into the dairy and beef industries is multifaceted and will impact production gains, identification and management of genetic diseases, and streamlined breeding and selection approaches.
