The simplicity of laryngeal mask insertion could potentially streamline the surfactant delivery process, eliminating the necessity for advanced skills. Abstract

The cornerstone of treatment for respiratory distress syndrome in preterm infants is surfactant administration, traditionally performed through an invasive procedure involving tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation. Consequently, there has been a growing interest in exploring less invasive methods of surfactant delivery to mitigate the associated risks.
