Abstract
The paper demonstrates a method for calculating spiral beams of a given configuration based on a linear combination of displaced Gaussian beams. A new method for generating spiral beams is implemented. The effect of scaling the phase distribution on the quality of the generated light fields is experimentally investigated. The synthesized fields are tested in an experiment on optical manipulation of ensembles of single microparticles.
