Abstract
Using the approach derived by Caron-Huot and Gale from the BDMPS-Z formalism,
we obtain medium-induced parton splitting rates in a Bjorken expanding QCD
matter. We compare the rate with the case of a static medium and investigate
the impact of the medium expansion on the splitting rate. We also consider the
leading order in the opacity expansion and the harmonic oscillator solution.
These approximations are recovered in the limits of small and large formation
times, respectively.
