Abstract
Large doses of prescription amphetamine have been associated with a more than five-fold increased risk of new-onset psychosis or mania, according to Belmont, Massachusetts-based McLean Hospital researchers of a new study published online Sept. 12 in the American Journal of Psychiatry.
