Firstly, the design principle of this type of motor is analyzed based on the slot electromotive force star diagram. The four possible topologies of the double-sided PMLM and their basic performance are analyzed. In addition, taking the single-sided PMLM with the same number of poles and slots as an example, the characteristics of the cogging force of different unit motors are analyzed through the superposition model of the cogging force of the single slot, and the principle of reducing the detent force is given based on this. Further, combining Taguchi's method and genetic algorithm (GA), the sensitivity of each parameter is analyzed and the detent force of the motor is optimized. Abstract
