Abstract
The problems of obtaining cellulose suitable for regeneration (cellulose for chemical processing) have been described. A variety of pretreatment techniques are used to activate cellulose. Manmade fibers from regenerated cellulose are produced by wet and wet air-gap spinning. The processes of production of viscose cellulose and copper–ammonia cellulose, as well as the Lyocell process, are used that are based on N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide and ionic liquids.
