Abstract
Vascularized Patient-Derived Tumoroid
Confocal microscopy image of a patient-derived tumoroid, vascularized by perfusable microvascular networks in a microfluidic device. In article number 2402757, Giovanni S. Offeddu, Elena Cambria, Charles G. Knutson, Roger D. Kamm, and co-workers use these personalized in vitro breast cancer models to study stromal and vascular dysfunction that impairs drug delivery to tumors. These models offer the opportunity to test new molecular therapies to normalize the desmoplastic tumor microenvironment and enhance drug delivery.
