Abstract

Hypoxia-Responsive HOF

In article 2400747, Zhiqiang Li, Banglin Chen, Qingqing Xiong, and co-workers report the construction of a polyethylene glycol-modified and hypoxia-responsive nanoscale hydrogen-bonded organic framework (HOF) capable of in situ encapsulation and intracellular delivery of protein for cancer therapy. In hypoxic tumor sites, the azobenzene group is cleaved by reductases, leading to the dissociation of nano-HOF and eventual protein release to exert therapeutic effects.
