Abstract
This paper presents the development of the blend polymer solid electrolyte films (BPSE) for potential applications in electrochemical devices. Two host polymers, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), along with the salt KI, are employed to create the solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs). The synthesis involves varying the weight percentage of salt within the SPEs to investigate its impact on the material properties. Conductivity measurements are conducted using AC impedance spectroscopy, unveiling the conductivity behavior of the BPSEs. Additionally, surface morphology is characterized using polarized optical microscopy (POM) at 10 pixel resolution, offering a detailed examination of the film's microstructure. This comprehensive study not only contributes to the understanding of the fundamental properties of BPSEs but also opens avenues for their utilization in various electrochemical applications.
