The review also includes official methods published in the Indian Pharmacopoeia. Based on existing literature, simple spectrophotometry and liquid chromatography are commonly used to analyze olmesartan medoxomil. Abstract

Hypertension is often asymptomatic and can substantially elevate the risk of cardiovascular complications. Olmesartan medoxomil works by competitively blocking the angiotensin II receptors, preventing angiotensin II from constructing the blood vessels and releasing aldosterone.
