However, the proportion of high activity Cd is lower in clay particles, posing a lower environmental risk of Cd transformation compared to silt particles. Adsorption experiments indicated that the clay particle exhibits the strongest adsorption capacity and highest adsorption rate. Additionally, correlation and principal component analyses identified Fe-Mn oxides and organic matter as the primary influencing factors on Cd distribution characteristics, with pH playing a secondary role. Abstract
