Second, we aimed to determine if a virtual reality simulation will change students' attitude and stigma, favorably, toward patients with mental health conditions. We used a mixed-method comparative analysis to collect information and identify themes on undergraduate students' attitudes and stigma toward patients with mental health conditions. Our findings demonstrate that virtual reality simulations enhance awareness and sensitivity to the situations of others (empathy) while improving their communication skills.
