Abstract

This letter introduces a four-dimensional Markov chain model to evaluate Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) in WiFi 7’s multi-link environments. By applying a novel approach to channel competition analysis, particularly through the longest regression method, the model provides a detailed understanding of collision scenarios and their impact on network throughput. The research quantitatively demonstrates how EDCA parameter adjustments can effectively meet varied Quality-of-Service requirements, offering practical insights for optimizing network performance in the context of advanced WiFi 7 technologies.
