Co-ordinator's report on group 3 : Monoclonal Rh antibodies : serological and biological studies

Abstract

Thirty-nine monoclonal antibodies (MAbs), of human or of murine origin, were tested by 18 laboratories (Table I). Several techniques were used to define the characteristics and in the quantitative determinations of these antibodies. Serological tests evaluated their specificity and activity and their ability to detect variant red cell antigens. Biological assays were performed in an attempt to determine their potential therapeutic usefulness.
