Abstract

The Front Cover highlights an investigation into film deposition by pulsed laser ablation under a background gas pressure. In their Research Article S. Ghosh, C. S. Casari and co-workers focus on nanofoams grown by ablated species directed backward with respect to the direction of expansion of the plasma plume, rather than conventionally grown nanostructures formed on the front side of the plasma plume, thereby exploiting the possibility of using these new structures for potential applications.
