HRME has shown promising statistical outcomes for diagnosing carcinoma, enabling the clinician to gain additional information before performing conventional tissue biopsy. A multimodal probe consisting of a macroscopic investigation aided by HRME modality for microscopic investigation can significantly reduce the number of unnecessary biopsies leading to overall improvement in patient wellness.
