This article will also discuss MNT for hospitalized patients with diabetes including assessing for malnutrition and identifying contributing factors for the development of malnutrition. Abstract
This article will discuss the current medical nutrition therapy (MNT) recommendations for non-hospitalized people with diabetes based on published standards, general principles for healthy meal planning, common dietary methods used with people with diabetes, and matching the prandial insulin dose to food(s) consumed.
