In this study, we synthesized polynuclear zinc complexes by chelation between the side-chains of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS). From the NMR spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), it was confirmed the four equivalents of zinc ions were coordinated to the single POSS molecule. Optical measurements indicated that luminescent properties can be preserved even in the solid state. Abstract
