Furthermore, miRNA expression levels have a key role in the normal development of kidney tissue and are key regulators of kidney function, modulating diverse biological processes across renal cell lineages. miR‑378 participates in pathological processes associated with kidney diseases, including kidney cancer, kidney transplantation and diabetic nephropathy. Despite its considerable effects on these conditions, a comprehensive summary of the roles of miR‑378 is unavailable.
