The main physicochemical properties of the obtained addition polymers were investigated by TGA, DSC, X-ray diffraction, as well as low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen and CO<sub>2</sub>. The effect of the bridge nature in the bifunctional norbornene-type monomer on the sorption properties of the addition polymer based thereon was established. Abstract

Addition polymerization of three norbornene-type monomers derived from various diamines and cis-5-norbornene-exo-2,3-dicarboxylic acid anhydride in the presence of Pd complexes with an N-heterocyclic carbene ligand was studied. The polymerization conditions for these bifunctional polymers containing imide fragments were optimized, which made it possible to produce the target polymers in yields of up to 75%. The structure of the synthesized polymers was confirmed using IR, Raman spectroscopy and solid-state 13C NMR spectroscopy. The main physicochemical properties of the obtained addition polymers were investigated by TGA, DSC, X-ray diffraction, as well as low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen and CO2.
