This is demonstrated experimentally using a broadband launcher, which comprises a photonic transmitter and a spline-profile horn, by placing a circular metallic obstacle in the beam’s path. Field measurements show that the BB profile remains intact after the obstacle over the 75–105-GHz band. Power transmission tests reveal a record broadband efficiency of up to 70% (−1.54 dB) at 99 GHz across distances of 10–30 wavelengths.
