Abstract

Dancing with light: A chemo-optogenetic system has been developed by using azobenzene-based photoswitchable molecular glues (sMGs) to reversibly control protein dimerization/proximity in living cells. Under blue light, these molecules bring two proteins together, whereas green light causes them to separate, like a dance. This system provides a new tool for studying complex cell processes with high precision in both time and space. More information can be found in the Research Article by Y. W.
