Protein levels were significantly elevated higher in heparin tubes (mean difference: 230.71 mg/dL, p<0.001). Abstract
Biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are crucial for diagnosing, monitoring, and prognosing neurological disorders. This study evaluates the impact of preanalytical variables, particularly container choice, on CSF protein measurements. Papers describing evaluation or implementation of commercial reagent kits or the performance of new analysers require substantial original information. Unless of exceptional interest and novelty, studies dealing with the redox status in various diseases are not generally considered within the journal''s scope.
