Abstract

Features of the propagation of laser pulses in a water layer are studied with the use of Monte Carlo method taking into account multiple scattering of radiation reflection from the bottom surface and the water–air interface. The influence of the albedo of the bottom surface and the characteristics of the sea surface undulation on the ring-shaped light structures resulting from the scattering of laser pulses is analyzed.
