Aortic regurgitation was higher in males (5.5 vs 14.9%, P < 0.001). Aortic stenosis prevalence was similar between both genders (2.1 vs 2.3%). Tricuspid valve regurgitations were slightly higher in females (18.5 vs 16.7%, P < 0.001).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>In this study, we found a significantly higher prevalence of tricuspid valve regurgitation in women. Aortic regurgitation was more prevalent in men. Abstract

Introduction: Prevalence of different valvular pathologies has not been reported in female and male patients in large population-based studies. The goal of this study was to report the gender-specific prevalence of various valvular pathologies.
