In order to obtain a precise immunohistochemical staining, various fixations were tested with an immunoblotting procedure. Acetone fixation followed by celloidin embedding proved to be most appropriate for the immunohistochemical study of inhibin. A consistent pattern emerged in all sections prepared from porcine and bovine ovaries.
