Abstract
The amino-acid sequences of the alpha- and beta-chains of gayal hemoglobin have been determined and compared with those of bovine and yak hemoglobins. The gayal alpha-chain differs from the alpha-chains of bovine by 3 amino-acid residues and from yak I alpha- and II alpha-hemoglobins by 4 and 2 residues, respectively.
