The differential diagnoses of sellar and parasellar lesions includes pituitary tumor, craniopharyngioma, carotid aneurysm, empty sellar syndrome, metastatic tumor, optic or hypothalamus glioma, meningioma, chordoma, mucocele, and bony tumor of the sphenoid sinus.
