Some of the storage precautions taken by, or proposed by, suppliers are superfluous, and only mask the inadequate purification by the suppliers. A simple protocol for the storage of stock solutions is given. Alkaline glutaraldeyhyde is inherently very unstable, even in the refrigerator.
