Abstract

In the U.S. alone, of the 60,000 women diagnosed with node-negative breast cancer each year, between 2,000 and 5,000 would be candidates for postoperative adjuvant therapy each month. Thousands of women had a chance to benefit from data contained in the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Alert and the announcements of the trial's results in the lay press.
