Sucrose density gradient centrifugation analysis indicated that TNF-alpha treatment impaired polysomal aggregation in rat diaphragm muscle. Compared with the control muscles, the ratio of 40S and 60S subunits to polysomes was higher in TNF-alpha treated muscles.
