PPSS-II'' mRNA was more abundant than PPSS-II' mRNA in pancreas, whereas PPSS-II' mRNA was more abundant than PPSS-II\" mRNA in stomach. Fasting increased pancreatic PPSS-II'' mRNA levels but had no effect on the levels of PPSS-II' mRNA.
