Abstract
Celecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which acts via specific inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 (synthesis of prostaglandins mediating pathological inflammation) but which preserves the homeostatic action of cyclooxygenase-1.
