This manuscript is based on case-controlled in vitro fertilization groups, retrospective review, prospective nonrandomized data, and review articles. The potential risks and benefits of a myomectomy should be considered in making a decision for a patient. Abstract
The influence of myomata on fertility is an ongoing subject of debate and conflicting data. Most studies are retrospective and have small population sizes.
