Idiopathic lethal granulomas of the midline facial tissues.

Abstract

Introduction Cases of idiopathic lethal granulomas of the midline facial tissues are being reported frequently in the general medical literature. However, since such patients often consult a dermatologist because of an ulceration or tumor of the palate, it is the purpose of this report to reemphasize this disease in the dermatological literature. The most recent review was by Levan,1 in 1953, and a related condition was reported by Lincoln,2 in 1957. Recent investigation regarding the etiology as well as the treatment will be discussed.
