Abstract
Objective: To prepare forsythiaside from Forsythia suspensa by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
Method: A crude extract of Forsythia suspensa was prepared by water extraction and alcohol precipitation prior to polyamide column chromatography. Forsythiaside was prepared from the crude extract by RP-HPLC.
Results: Analysis with HPLC showed that the purity of the prepared forsythiaside reached 98%.
