We saw 132 patients with tumors of the parotid, being 41 of them malignant. The surgical technique more used was the total parotidectomy with conservation of the facial nerve. The global survival obtained in the malignant tumors was 60% after five years. Surgery is the treatment of election in the tumors of epitelial origin of the parotid gland. Abstract
